01 Is "Event Management" actually a stable career or is it just gig work
It has evolved into a stable, high-growth corporate sector. With the industry projected to cross ₹10,000 crore, it is no longer just “gig work.” Stability comes from specialization. While freelance planners exist, large agencies (Wizcraft, 70 EMG) and brands (Red Bull, Coke) hire full-time Experience Managers, Tournament Directors, and MICE Specialists with corporate salaries and benefits. The “Concert Economy” alone is creating millions of jobs
02 How is an MSEED degree programs different from a 1-year diploma at any other Event Management Institutes?
The difference is depth and accreditation.
You get a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from the University of Mumbai. This is a permanent academic credential valid for government jobs, master’s abroad, and corporate leadership programs. The 2-3-year duration allows you to learn “deep skills” like Consumer Psychology, AI, and Law.
03 What is "Experience Design" and why should I care about it
“Event Management” is logistical (booking the venue, ordering food). “Experience Design” is emotional (designing how the guest feels).
- Example: An Event Manager ensures the speakers work. An Experience Designer ensures the soundscape triggers a specific emotion.
Why care? Experience Designers are paid more because they drive brand loyalty. MSEED focuses heavily on this, giving you a competitive edge over standard planners
04 Can I really make a career in E-Sports? Is it just playing games?
It is definitely not just playing. It is a massive business. The Online Gaming Bill 2025 has regulated the sector, bringing in huge sponsors.
- Roles: You can be a Tournament Director, Team Manager, Broadcast Producer, or Sponsorship Head.

05 Why is the "Bhavan's College" affiliation important?
Two reasons: Credibility and Campus.
- Bhavan’s is a historic trust (Est. 1946) with an A++ NAAC rating. A degree from here commands respect.
- You get a 45-acre green campus with a lake, adventure park, and gymkhana. Most private event institutes are just small offices in commercial buildings. At Bhavan’s, you get a full “college life” experience
06 What is the BMAT? Is it difficult?
Bhavan’s MSEED Aptitude Test (BMAT) is an entrance exam that tests your Creative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Industry Awareness. It is designed to filter for potential and passion. It is followed by an SOP (Statement of Purpose) and Interview. It is different from the engineering/medical BMAT or Bharati Vidyapeeth’s exam. Preparation involves staying updated on event trends and practicing basic logic/verbal questions.
07 Is the fee of ₹7.5 Lakhs worth it?
Think of it as a long-term investment.
- Comparison: A decent MBA costs ₹10-15 Lakhs.
- Value: For ₹7.5 Lakhs, you get a University Degree + Industry Mentorship + International Pedagogy (CoEE).
ROI: If you secure a specialized role (e.g., E-Sports Manager) starting at ₹6-8 LPA, you recover the fees in ~1.5 years. If you end up in a generic operational role (₹3 LPA), it takes longer. The specialized tracks drive the value
08What does the "College of Extraordinary Experiences" partnership mean for me?
It means you won’t just sit in boring lectures. The CoEE (Poland) is world-famous for immersive learning. You might simulate a festival disaster to learn crisis management or design a Live Action Role Play (LARP) to understand narrative. It brings global, cutting-edge teaching methods to Mumbai.
09Does the college provide housing?
MSEED has a partnership with Your-Space, a premium student housing provider. They offer hostels near the Andheri campus with Wi-Fi, meals, and security.
Budget: Plan for ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month for housing and food in Andheri West. It is an expensive area, but living close to campus saves travel time and keeps you near the industry hubs
10Can I work while studying?
Yes, and you must. The curriculum includes mandatory Internships and On-Job-Training (OJT). Being in Andheri West (the media hub), you will have opportunities to volunteer at festivals, work on TV sets, or assist wedding planners on weekends. The “flipped classroom” model supports this practical application.
11Is this field suitable for introverts?
Yes. The industry needs more than just loud extroverts.
- Roles for Introverts: Production Technicals (Sound/Light), Scriptwriting, Operations/Logistics (The backbone of events), Data Analytics, and Experience Design (Strategy). MSEED’s diverse curriculum allows you to find your niche behind the scenes.
12Does MSEED offer placements?
The brochure promises 100% placement assistance. Because the school is founded by industry heavyweights (Deepak Choudhary of Event Capital), the curriculum is aligned with what agencies want. The mentorship program (100+ mentors) acts as a direct bridge to jobs. However, “assistance” means they open the door; you must have the skills to walk through it.
13I want to start my own Event Company. Will this help?
Yes. The Master’s curriculum specifically includes modules on “Event Entrepreneurship,” “Taxation,” “P&L,” and “Legal Frameworks.” These are the boring but critical skills that prevent new businesses from failing. Learning how to price your services and manage cash flow is just as important as designing a pretty stage
14Can I study abroad after this degree?
Yes. Since the degree is awarded by the University of Mumbai, it is recognized by universities worldwide for credit transfers or Master’s applications. You also have the option of a dual degree with UniMarconi (Italy), which can be a gateway to careers in Europe or the Middle East
15How do I apply?
Applications are online via the MSEED website. Watch for the BMAT dates (usually Dec/Jan for the first round). Prepare a strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) explaining why you want to be in this industry… passion counts for a lot here.
